Mishaps and troubles…

We did encounter a few unfortunate things so far. The first was on the way to Mindy’s when a man in a rollback got angry and side swiped us and took off! We lost the drivers side mirror which meant we had to drive an hour with no mirror! The side of the camper was damaged but not terribly. The guy took off but we caught up with him and he finally pulled over. He denied everything so we just let it go…

We left My brother’s and as we entered Childress, Texas we lost one of the dual tires. Thankfully we were able to pull right into a gas station. We called a guy named JR and he helped us out. 2+ hours later we were on our way only to loose the tread off the spare. JR recommended limping the next 15 miles to Memphis, Texas to OK Tire. Of course it was almost dark. We made it to Memphis and parked in the tire shop’s parking lot where the next morning they got us two new tires.

Christina had an allergic reaction to something unknown and had to visit the ER at 12:30am in Cortez, Colorado. Hives and angioedema are not a pretty sight. We traveled further to Blanding and found Blanding Family Community Heath Center where we met Russel, we didn’t even catch his last name! He helped Christina tremendously. After four days of itchy, painful torment she was able to sleep through a whole night and not break out the whole next day! Lots and lots of allergy medicine for the next month will take care of this mess. Russel called us Monday and gave us his cell number in case we need him while we travel! Thank you Russel soooo much. Needless to say I won’t post photos…🤪
